Canonical has just released a Ubuntu Linux 9.04 “Netbook Remix” featuring optimizations in power-management to boost battery life and an interface that centralizes applications and bookmarks, among other visual improvements. Just check out the screenshot from the Webmonkey review.
While this Linux distro works with most netbooks, check their compatibility chart to make sure its optimized for your netbook
