women tech award

Talented women are often told that a career in technology isn’t for them and recent researches shows that investors are hesitant to invest in businesses founded by women. Only 2.3% of venture funding goes to women-led startups and 34% of female founders reported burnout in a 2023 research.

Women Social Impact Tech Awards

The Aurora Tech Award is an annual prize for women founders of IT startups whose projects have had the most profound impact on world development. It was established in order to remind people that women are half of our civilization’s creative intellectual potential. In many technological fields, they have become the driving force behind development and have done a great deal of good in the world.

The competition is open to any capable woman entrepreneurs who are founders, co-founders, executives, or shareholders with a key technology product in the pre-seed or seed stage – it must have minimum viable product, initial clients, and less than $4 million in funding.

The winner of the award is independent, compassionate, transcends stereotypes, and does fascinating and important work in the field of advanced technologies that has improved the lives of a large number of people.

  5. Dear Sir/Madam,

We are an NGO working in rural Nepal. This draws our attention as the digital technology is growing as a necessary tool for the advancement of human society now.

We mostly work on building better lives for the people which involves working in agriculture, informal education, environment and natural situation including as climate change, helping people the most disadvantaged groups of people like women and children, helping people on achieving globally accepted human rights etc. After the global Covid pandemic and thereafter the devastating earthquake, COPPADES has remained dumbfounded as the things remained out of bound for our capacities.

As we are working mainly in rural societies in Gandaki Province Lamjung district, the current situation is rather confusing because of the rather recent national democratic change in governance and things that should make a political change in governance. However, things remain far from such promises and people ignorant about what their responsibility should be such situation. We would very much like to work on this area as COPPADES has a very good track record during the time that we worked and the long time we worked guides us in that regard.

Would you be interested in collaborating on such issue so that we can send examples and work ethics to make it possible. We are interested in writing such proposal if you are positive.

Thank you for taking time to see this query and would like to communicate more with you further.

Thanking you for your kind information.

    Sincerely
    Dikendra Kandel
    Chairman, COPPADES Lamjung
